Under WIOA, CTE certificates issued by K12 adult schools and noncredit college programs are considered post-secondary if they are for a program greater than 48 contact hours that is aligned to an occupation and is not solely for workforce preparation.
Note: The ongoing challenges that noncredit community college institutions have faced in reporting student attendance hours for noncredit distance education may impact the way that institutions issue and / or report noncredit awards in SP02.
