Date_ID does not always match term_id in file provided. Date_ID is used for ordering purposes for “pre” and “post” testing whereas term_id indicates the prior or selected years
Course completion or passing either the “pre” or “post” CB21 course is not required. If a student is able to have a “post” enrollment that is a higher level in the same discipline area as the “pre” enrollment, then that student is assumed to have attained an EFL gain.
This includes students who may have attained a skills gain in previous academic years; however, the skills gain must have been earned in the selected year.
Enrollments in courses coded as “Y” (not applicable) for CB21 should not be considered in this calculation.
Includes skills gains earned at any California community college during the selected year.
CB21 levels decrease alphabetically from F to E to D and so on until level A.
New use of MIS data element SA07 summer 2019. The first position in SA07 is a number from 1 to 6 and increases with EFL.
The skills gain must be in the same discipline area, i.e. ESL, Math or English.
