305S (W): Students Who Persisted in All Three Consecutive Primary Terms at Any College
Among students who enrolled in at least one course in a TOP code in any term of the selected year at the selected institution who did not transfer or who did not earn an award in the selected year, the percentage who enrolled in at least one course in any TOP code in the next two consecutive primary semesters or in the next three consecutive primary quarters at any college

A 'term pattern' is formed by taking the third digit in the GI03 element for successive terms that a student enrolled in. Only primary terms are included in allowed term patterns (7 = Fall Semester, 3 = Spring Semester, 8 = Fall Quarter, 2 = Winter Quarter, 4 = Spring Quarter). Allowed term patterns are:
334SW Students who met all of the following criteria:
Enrolled in a course on any TOP code at the selected college in any primary term
CB03 is a valid TOP code in the Taxonomy of Programs manual
Where GI03 is any primary term in the selected year
WHERE to “persist” a student must enroll in a defined “term pattern” with each digit in a pattern represent the 3rd digit in the GI03 a student was enrolled in (For example, pattern “738” would be a student who enrolled in Fall Semester (7), then Spring Semester (3), then Fall Quarter (8) of the subsequent year)
WHERE allowed term patterns are: 7247, 7248, 737, 738, 8247, 8248, 837, 838, 2472, 2473, 2482, 2483, 372, 373, 382, 383, 4724, 473, 4824, and 483
AND at any college
AND count students at any college where enrolled in the first primary term and on any TOP code where a student took 0.5 or more units or noncredit courses in the selected year
