200A (E,F,R): Reportable Individuals
The number of learners who had one or more hours of instruction or positive attendance hours, across all enrollments in an adult education program, and / or who received services at a K12 adult school or noncredit services at a community college. This metric is also referred to as "Adults Served."
Note: Due to the continued challenges noncredit community college institutions have faced in reporting student attendance hours for noncredit distance education courses, the hour threshold requirement in this metric is not enforced for noncredit community college students during spring 2020 and and all terms in 2020-21, 2021-22, 2022-23, or 2023-24. An enrollment record in an adult education program is used as a proxy for the hour threshold component of this metric during the timeframe.
202A (E,F,R): Students with 12+ Instructional Contact Hours (Participants)
Among all Reportable Individuals (200A), the number who received 12 or more hours of instruction or positive attendance hours, across all enrollments, in an adult education program. 400A (E,F,R): Participants who Completed an Educational Functioning Level Gain
Among all Participants in ESL, ABE and ASE (133A), the number who improved skills by one or more Educational Functioning Levels or by course progression in the selected year.
403A (E,F,R): Participants who Completed a Workforce Preparation Milestone
Among all Participants (202A), the number who completed a noncredit career education or workforce preparation course or had 48 or more contact hours in a noncredit career education course(s) or workforce preparation course(s).
411A (E,F,R): Participants who Completed an Immigration Integration Milestone
Among all Participants (202A), the number who completed an EL Civics course or COAPPS milestone.
505A (E): Employment Two Quarters After Exit
Among Exiting Participants (203A), the number who were employed two fiscal quarters after exit.
506A (E): Employment Four Quarters After Exit
Note: Employment records in the fourth quarter after exit, which correspond to the second quarter in the EDD UI wage file (April through June), may not be complete due to data availability at the time of requested delivery of the EDD data. Therefore, the 2020-21 data for this metric may change with the integration of an updated EDD UI wage file in the next build. Among Exiting Participants (203A), the number who were employed four fiscal quarters after exit.
602A (E,F,R): Participants in ESL, ABE and ASE who Transitioned to Postsecondary
Among all Participants in ESL, ABE and ASE (133A), the number who transitioned to postsecondary by enrolling in either a K12 adult education or community college CTE course, or a non-developmental credit college course for the first time at any institution within the same or subsequent year.
624A (E): Participants who Completed a Postsecondary Credential
Among all Participants (202A), the number who earned a postsecondary credential in the same or any subsequent year.
633A (E,F,R): Participants who Earned a Diploma, GED, or High School Equivalency
Among all Participants (202A), the number who earned a diploma or high school equivalency in the selected year.
800A (E): Median Annual Earnings
The median annual earnings of Exiting Participants who were Employed Two Quarters after Exit (505A).
801A (E): Median Change in Earnings
The median change in earnings of Exiting Participants (203A) between the second quarter prior to the academic year of entry at any institution and the second quarter after the year of exit from the last institution attended.
